Is the free eSIM unlimited data?

No. The free trial eSIM comes with 1 GB of real mobile data in the country you choose. That's enough to check that your phone accepts an eSIM, that it connects to a local network, and that maps, messaging and your VPN work before your trip. For the trip itself, pick a destination plan, including unlimited-data plans in many countries.

How to get your free eSIM QR code

Start the trial, then claim your free test eSIM in your dashboard and choose an eligible country plan. We email you the eSIM QR code straight away. On iPhone go to Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM; on Android open Settings → Network (or Connections) → SIMs → Add eSIM — menu names vary by brand. Scan the code and it installs in about two minutes.
