Your eSIM roams onto Jersey's own operators. These are the networks and the frequencies they run — check your phone supports them before you travel.
No mobile network operates on the offshore reefs of Les Écréhous and Les Minquiers. B20 (800 MHz) is used by all operators for rural and in-building coverage; some foreign phones from North America and parts of Asia lack B20.
The Jersey mobile network source is linked below as a public network reference. Check the places on your itinerary where the source offers local detail, then confirm the network information for the selected eSIM product. The operator table on this page provides the country-level reference, while the selected product details identify which network information applies to your plan.
Check your accommodation and the places you expect to visit in Jersey. Indoor reception can differ from an outdoor map, so keep the property Wi-Fi details available as well.
Review the full route rather than checking only the arrival city. Save tickets, addresses and maps offline before longer road or rail journeys.
Check the selected product scope for every country on your itinerary. Your Jersey plan and a regional plan may have different included destinations and validity periods.
Compare your phone with 4G bands B1, B3, B8, B20 and 5G bands n1, n78 in the existing Jersey network table. Support for more of the listed bands gives the phone more options when connecting, while the selected product, location and local network conditions determine the service available.
Keep the QR code and installation instructions available offline, and complete each step according to the selected product's instructions.
When validity starts: Validity-start rules can differ by product. Check the selected plan details before installation and travel.
Jersey is a curious blend of British and French influences. You will hear English spoken with a local accent, see French road signs, and eat food that borrows from both sides of the water. The island is small but feels far bigger than its size. Plan your stay around what you want most: quiet coastal walks, lively harbour dining, or historical exploration.
For accommodation, Gorey and St Aubin are the prettiest villages, each with a castle, a harbour and good restaurants. St Helier has the best transport links and the widest choice of hotels and shops. Book well ahead for summer; even in spring and autumn, decent places fill quickly. A car is not essential - buses run frequently - but a hire car gives you freedom to reach the island's quieter corners.
Mont Orgueil Castle - This medieval fortress looms over Gorey Harbour. Climb the towers for views across to France on a clear day. The interior tells the story of Jersey's defence through the centuries.
Elizabeth Castle - Reachable on foot only at low tide, or by a short ferry ride. The battlements and the living-history actors make it a favourite for families. Check tide times before you go.
Jersey War Tunnels - An extensive underground hospital built by forced labour during World War II. The museum inside is sobering and thorough, covering the Occupation years from 1940 to 1945.
Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust - Founded by naturalist Gerald Durrell, this zoo focuses on endangered species. The setting in Trinity is leafy and the enclosures are spacious. Allow half a day.
St Brelade's Bay - One of Jersey's best beaches. Soft sand, safe swimming and a handful of cafés. Good for a full day out, especially with children.
Jersey Royals - The island's protected new potatoes, in season from late April to early July. They have a nutty, earthy flavour that ordinary potatoes lack. Eat them simply, boiled with butter and salt.
Jersey Black Butter - A dark, spiced apple preserve made with cider, liquorice and spices. It is traditionally stirred for hours on Bonfire Night. Spread it on bread or eat it with cheese.
Crab and Lobster - Jersey's waters produce excellent shellfish. The local crab is brown crab, sweet and meaty. Lobster comes from pots set just offshore. Both appear on most seafood menus.
Ormer - A protected sea snail, harvested only between January and March. It is a local delicacy, usually fried or stewed. If you see it on a menu in season, order it.
Jersey Bean Jar - A slow-cooked stew of pork belly, beans and vegetables. It is simple, hearty and deeply satisfying. Look for it in traditional pubs rather than tourist restaurants.
Late May to September is the peak season. Expect warm, settled weather, long daylight hours and the busiest beaches. July and August are the hottest months, but also the most crowded. Prices for accommodation and car hire are at their highest.
May, June and September offer a good balance of pleasant weather and manageable crowds. The sea is still warm enough for swimming in September. Many attractions open full hours during these months.
April and October are shoulder months. The weather is changeable - you can get a sunny, calm day or a windy, wet one. Many coastal cafés and smaller attractions close outside the main season. Walking and cycling are still fine if you pack for rain.
November to March is quiet. Some hotels and restaurants close for a winter break. The island has a different, more local feel. This is the best time for bargain hunters and those who want empty cliffs and beaches.
Waterproof jacket and trousers - Jersey's weather can change in an hour. Even a summer day can bring a sudden shower. A breathable waterproof shell is more useful than an umbrella.
Sturdy walking shoes - The coastal path is rugged in places, with steep climbs and uneven ground. Trainers will do for easy stretches, but proper walking shoes or boots are safer for the full route.
Layers and jumpers - Even in summer, evenings by the sea turn cool. A fleece or a light jumper worn over a T-shirt is a practical combination.
Sunscreen and hat - The sun is stronger than many visitors expect, especially on the water. UV levels can be high from April to September. Apply sunscreen even on cloudy days.
Beach bag and swim gear - Jersey has many excellent beaches and the sea warms up by June. A towel and a pair of reef shoes are helpful for rocky shores.
A travel eSIM - Stay connected on the move without hunting for a local SIM. Download the eSIM before you travel and activate it on arrival.
