How to Install Your eSIM
Follow these steps to set up your eSIM and get connected in under 2 minutes. Before you begin, make sure you have a Wi-Fi connection.
What you'll need before you begin: Your iPhone needs to be eSIM-compatible (iPhone XS or later) and carrier-unlocked. You'll need a Wi‑Fi connection.

Connect to Wi-Fi
Check you're on Wi-Fi. You'll need internet to download the eSIM profile.

Open the email on your iPhone
Find the TPG Mobile email that carries your QR code. Open it straight from your iPhone — no second device needed.

Press and hold the QR code image
Press and hold the QR code image in the email. A menu will appear — tap "Add eSIM". It's the quickest way on iPhone.

Alternative: use Settings
If hold-down doesn't work, head to Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM → Use QR Code and scan it with your camera.

Use the QR code
For the Settings method, point your iPhone camera at the QR code. Your iPhone will pick it up automatically.

Activate & label
Tap Continue, then Add Cellular Plan. Name it after your destination (e.g. "Japan trip"). That's it!
Fastest way on iPhone
Open the TPG Mobile email on your iPhone, and then press and hold on the QR code until a popup shows up. Tap "Add eSIM" — it's ready in seconds, no need to open Settings.
Tip
The eSIM can be installed before your trip and activate it on arrival. Head to Settings → Cellular → your eSIM plan → switch it on/off as needed.
Troubleshooting
Make sure you\'re scanning from a different screen or a printed copy. If the code has expired, contact support to get a new one.
Your mobile phone may be locked to a carrier. Contact your carrier to unlock it, or check Settings → Cellular to see if an eSIM option is available.
Turn on Data Roaming for your eSIM line. Go to Settings → Cellular → select your eSIM → switch on Data Roaming.
eSIM profiles are tied to the device they were first installed on. Contact our support team to arrange a replacement.
